Privacy

Updated 15 September 2026. This notice describes the current SolarStateData tools and website. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Calculators and saved plans

Calculations run in your browser. Appliance inputs are not sent to our servers. The outage planner saves a plan only when you choose Save on this device. It uses browser local storage under ssd-outage-plan-v1, not an account or a tracking cookie. The saved plan stays on that browser until you delete it with Delete saved plan or clear the browser’s site data.

Share links encode your appliance names and settings in the URL fragment. Anyone you give the link to can read them. The fragment is not part of the HTTP request sent to our server. Do not put sensitive information in appliance names or shared plans.

Site operation and merchant clicks

Cloudflare hosts and protects this site. Network processing can include your IP address, browser information, URL and request time for delivery and security. This is separate from the limited merchant-click record described below. See Cloudflare’s privacy information.

When a request goes through a product link beginning with /go/, our first-party measurement records an event type, timestamp, merchant, product, source page, button position, internal referring path and country code. We distinguish browser navigations from automated and verification requests. These event records contain no IP address, cookie, full external referrer, email address or persistent visitor identifier. Individual event records expire after 90 days; aggregate reports may be retained to assess the site’s usefulness.

We use these limited records to operate the site and understand which product guidance is useful, not to build visitor profiles or serve targeted advertisements. Our own 90-day event setting does not describe the retention of separate infrastructure/security records processed by the hosting provider.

Limited tool and journey measurement

We count explicit tool interactions to understand whether our guides and calculators are useful: a tool start, a valid result after interaction, following a link to another tool, and choosing Share or Print. Default calculations on page load are not counted as use. Each action and destination is counted at most once per page load; counts are events, not unique people or a tracked individual journey. A share event means the sharing action was chosen, not that another person received it; print means the print dialog was requested, not that a page was printed.

These first-party records contain only a fixed event name, tool/page identifier, immediate source-page category, destination-tool category, schema version, event time and traffic classification. They do not include your appliance names, inputs, saved plan, full URLs or query strings, IP address, cookies or a persistent visitor identifier. Records expire after 90 days; aggregate reports may be retained. We separate verification and recognisable automated requests from browser-qualified counts; browser qualification does not prove a human visitor. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for this tool measurement. It does not require local storage or a cross-page visitor ID.

Cookies and external websites

The current site does not install advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts or tracking cookies. No registration or newsletter form is active. The optional local save is used only at your request. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide any required controls before adding optional tracking.

Manufacturer links take you to external sites with their own data practices. Marked EcoFlow product links pass through Impact for affiliate attribution. We send fixed source-page, button-position and product labels, not your appliance plan or a visitor identifier. Impact and EcoFlow may use cookies and other technical data for purchase attribution under their own privacy policies. You can choose whether to follow an external link and manage the partner’s privacy controls there.

Correspondence and your choices

If you email us, we receive your address and what you send so we can handle your request. Email is handled through our email provider. We retain relevant correspondence while needed for the request, related administration or applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords or payment details.

We do not sell personal information. Hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable service arrangements. We do not publish correspondence without permission.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, request restriction or portability, or complain to your data-protection authority. Send requests to the contact above. We may need proportionate identity information to locate and protect a record; do not send identity documents unless specifically needed through an agreed secure route. We cannot identify your visit from the limited merchant-event data alone.
