Short answer
The DELTA Pro is most useful when you want meaningful backup capacity without committing immediately to a permanently installed home battery. Its published base specification is 3.6 kWh of storage and 3,600 W of AC output, with expansion options up to 25 kWh. That is enough output for many household loads, but runtime depends entirely on what you connect.
| Base capacity | 3.6 kWh |
|---|---|
| Continuous AC output | 3,600 W |
| Published expansion range | Up to 25 kWh with compatible equipment |
| Battery chemistry | LFP |
| Published warranty | 3 years standard, plus 2 years after app registration |
| Best fit | Portable or staged home backup, renters, workshops, and users who want expandable storage |

What 3.6 kWh means in practice
Usable runtime is lower than a simple battery-capacity division because the inverter, battery management system, cabling, and connected equipment consume energy. A rough planning allowance of 80–90% usable AC energy is reasonable, but real performance varies.
- A 120 W refrigerator load cycling half the time may run for roughly a day or more.
- A continuous 500 W combined load is a several-hour use case, not an all-day one.
- High-power heating loads can be within the inverter rating but drain the battery quickly.
For critical-load backup, list the actual wattage and daily run time of the refrigerator, networking, lighting, medical equipment, and any pumps before choosing a battery size.
Where it makes sense
- No-install backup: Run selected appliances from the unit without a fixed battery installation.
- Expandable system: Start at 3.6 kWh and add compatible batteries or home-integration equipment later.
- Multiple uses: Move the same battery between home backup, a workshop, RV, or remote site.
- Solar charging: Pair it with compatible portable panels where the site and weather make this practical.
Reasons to choose something else
- You need seamless whole-home backup with automatic transfer and no manual load management.
- Your critical loads include large HVAC, electric resistance heating, or long-running pumps.
- You want the lowest cost per installed kWh and never need portability.
- You need a system designed, permitted, and warranted as part of a permanent solar installation.

Frequently asked questions
Can it run a refrigerator?
Yes. The published AC output is sufficient for a typical refrigerator, but runtime depends on compressor cycling, other connected loads and conversion losses.
Can it power a whole home?
Treat the base unit as selected-load backup. Whole-home use requires compatible integration equipment, careful load management and potentially additional battery capacity.
Is it a substitute for a fixed home battery?
Sometimes, but not always. A permitted fixed system may be better for seamless automatic transfer, large loads or the lowest installed cost per kWh.
